Organic Tea: A Guarantee of Quality for Discerning Tea Drinkers
Organic certification is not limited to the food industry or cosmetics. Tea, too, can proudly claim its organic origins, thanks to strict regulations that reassure consumers and highlight the commitment of responsible producers.
According to European standards, an organic tea is one produced without the use of GMOs, pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or herbicides. Instead, it involves using at least 95% ingredients from organic farming when the tea includes fruits, flowers, plants, or spices.
Thus, Pu-Erh teas from China, Darjeeling teas from India, and Japanese matchas must comply with European standards to be marketed as organic in Europe. As an exotic product for French consumers, tea—imported as a necessity—is subject to the same controls as products grown in Europe in order to earn the title of organic tea.
Betjeman & Barton’s Organic Teas: A Union of Excellence and Sustainability
Since 1919, we’ve proudly affirmed our authenticity and uniqueness, and we have naturally chosen to develop a diverse range of organic teas, in line with our values and today’s environmental challenges. Like all teas from Betjeman & Barton, our organic teas stand out for their noble origins, a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, and a touch of Parisian chic inherited from our century of existence in the City of Light.
Our organic tea collection includes all the main tea colors: black, white, green, and oolong. Among our selection, you’ll find the prestigious Chinese green tea "Taiping Houkui Organic," known as the "National Treasure of Green Tea" in China and traditionally reserved for Chinese notables. Also featured is the increasingly popular matcha, the exclusive "Nepal Shangri La Organic Superior" white tea, and the "Jing Shuan Organic Superior" oolong tea, cultivated in Thailand’s first blue-green tea garden.
We also offer the Rwandan "Rukeri Organic" green tea or our "Early Morning Broken B.O.P Organic" blend, inviting all tea drinkers to embrace the world of organic tea. Now, it's up to you to choose the ideal certified organic tea from our online store based on your preferences and cravings for new, exotic flavors.
