Japanese smoked black tea in limited quantities

This black tea from Japan is a real rarity: only one producer works this smoked tea, a specialty usually Chinese and not Japanese. It took him 10 years of work to find the perfect recipe, using Japanese cherry wood.

This tea from Japan is very fine. It grows near Mount Fuji. The tea plants are cultivated according to the "chagusaba" method which consists of growing grass near the tea fields and then using it as a natural mulch. This protects the soil, retains water and fertilizer, but also helps control weed growth and flavor the tea. It is also a philosophy that is based on the codependence between production and biodiversity.
